Daniela rejects the assumption that intelligence resides entirely within an individual. Human survival, adaptation, and innovation depend on interaction across populations rather than isolated cognition. Diversity, population size, and connectivity determine how effectively a collective generates and preserves useful knowledge. This suggests that AI should broaden participation in collective reasoning instead of serving only the engineers building it.
Why it matters: Treating intelligence as collective changes the research target from producing a single omniscient model to improving the interactions among people, agents, and communities.
Supporting evidence
The intelligence emerges from our interactions. It's fundamentally social.
